About Hilltop Canines

Who We Are

Founded by Debra and Daniel Yoder in 2014

Hi, I am Debra Yoder, and my husband Daniel and I have Hilltop Canines along with our daughter, Eva. It all started with a corgi. In 2014 Daniel gifted me with our first dog, a corgi puppy from my Mom's program. I named her Peach, and I guess corgis are like potato chips, and you can't have just one, because we now have 4 girls and 2 boys. We discovered the joy we can bring families by giving them the option of being able to get a healthy, happy, and well-socialized puppy, and we also added mini dachshunds to our family. Our kennel is spacious and comfortable, and with AC in the summer, heat in the winter, tile floors, doggy doors, and room to run, it provides all the comfort with home. Socialization: We practice early neurological stimulation with our puppies, and they are handled daily from birth. This way we can recognize any problems immediately, and the puppies are used to human hands from the start. Our daughter cannot wait until their eyes open and she can interact with them. Many of our puppies spend quite a bit of time in the early weeks being softly rocked by a young animal lover in her small rocking chair. Our puppies spend time playing in the balmy summer breeze, or in our cozy 125 year old farm house on winter days.

Our Puppy Parents

Strawberry

She is a third generation corgi to be with our family. She loves to run around the property with Eva, and go on trail rides with her and her pony. She is tested triple clear.

Rowan

Rowan is our older corgi male. He is a friendly, outgoing dog, that loves to be where the action is. He has his health testing done, and is triple clear. His OFA prelims all came back good.

Hilltop's Southern Boy

“Sunny” is our young male. We got him from our friend in Florida. He is an absolute delight to be around, the perfect gentleman, and handsome as can be to boot. He is tested clear of DM, EIC, and VWD.

Sugarplum

“Sugar” is as sweet as they come. Her mom and grandma have both been a part of our program. Fun fact, she is our only tri. She is DM and VWD clear, and a carrier of EIC.
