Welcome To Hilltop Canines
Our journey at Hilltop Canines all started back in 2014 when my husband Daniel gifted me a corgi puppy from my mom’s kennel. I named her Peach, and today we still have her, along with her daughters and grandaughters. Corgis are like potato chips and you can’t just have one! We now have 6 girls and 2 boys. I guess we must love short legs and long bodies, as I became enchanted with an acquaintance’s Miniature Dachsund, and had to have some. We have grown our business to where we are now breeding Miniature Dachsunds and Pembroke Welsh Corgis. If you have any questions and or please feel free to contact us.

About Our Breed
Pembroke Welsh Corgi
Originally bred to herd cattle, sheep, and horses, the Pembroke Welsh Corgi is an active and intelligent dog breed. Easy to train and eager to learn, Pembrokes are great with children and other pets, and you can find them in four different coat colors and markings. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are between 10 and 12 inches tall at the shoulders, and weigh no more than 30 pounds. Pembroke Welsh Corgis are easy to groom, but shedding can be a problem if you don’t keep up with the brushing, especially during the heavier seasonal shedding. Our corgis are genetic tested and we do not raise a puppy that will be at risk for EIC, VWD or DM. Most of our corgis are the third and fourth generation to be in our family. a few things to know before getting a corgi: they are smart and usually easily trained. They love food, and can become overweight quickly, and food guarding can become a problem if not properly trained. They absolutely adore people and bond easily.
